I realised that this was an unfortunate part of school life, but I didn't expect it in his first year! To be honest I was in a dilemma as to how to handle the situation, as I didn't want to make things worse. But one day as I was waiting for him to come out of school and was talking to some other mothers, they all had the same story. Consequently we made a collective complaint and the headmaster (who is exellent) took charge of the situation and touch wood things have sorted themselves out. Lets see what the future brings...
