Subject: Children and Food: Fussy Eaters
IP: Logged

Message:
When your children have rarely caused you any problems regarding food and eating it comes as a big shock to discover that all other children are not this way inclined. My child has a particular friend who only eats a very limited number of foods - dry pasta (no sauce) included and chews every mouthful twenty times. I have yet to serve up a meal where he 'likes' every item or managed to leave the table in under thirty minutes. He's a lovely child but meal-times do pose a problem - any suggestions gratefully received.

As a student completing my diploma in childcare, I have realised that fussy eaters can be a very big problem, however, as long as they are obtaining the correct nutrients and have no problem with eating the food they will eat then continue giving it to them. Perhaps it might help if food is made fun, considering the age of child.
