The food is either ridiculously expensive and they only eat half a mouthful, or you can't get what you want for them. It would be nice to find a listing of places to eat out where there isn't just chips with chicken nuggets, fish fingers, and burgers. What happened to pasta with all the variant sauces?

I think you have answered your own question, head for any Italian restaurant - even usually the swanky ones - and more often than not you're welcomed with open arms. As for the chains - Pizza Express is still our choice. Our local one will now make my daughter a garlic bread-sized pizza of her own, with any topping we like - she loves it.
