Subject: Healthy Eating IP: Logged
Message: I've always tried to make sure that my 2 year old
son Thomas ate heathily, keeping sweets down to a
minimum but last weekend he went to his first
proper birthday party and enjoyed what can only be
described as a sugar rampage - sweet, cakes, fizzy
drinks you name it! Having tasted these delights
he came home and has been steadfastly refusing
anything that might be decribed as healthy. This
combined with the oncome of the 'terrible twos'
has turned my sweet little child in a sugar
monster! Has anyone encountered this sort of thing
with their child?

Message: As a mother & childminder for over 20yrs,i can honestly say SUGER MAKES CHILDREN HIGH.
offer white chocolate instead, but only as a treat not every day.The two's is a time when they are not babies any more & want everything NOW,its also a time when children see just how far they can push you,Don't take the bait, walk away. Make meal time fun,eat together,if you cant' then play games with the food while spooning it into his mouth.sing a song or hum a tune & be silly will feeding him,he won't even notice what his eating,it works!!
