I am seven months pregnant with my fourth child. I know what you are thinking 'she must be mad!' and actually I would be fibbing if I said that we had planned a fourth child. Most of our friends have said how on earth will you cope?
We have a son who is six and two daughters one eight and the other fifteen months. My aunt who had five children said to me recently that a large family can only survive with team work. I know now what she means, my older daughter and son are really amazing and seem to instinctively know when we need their help. This could be either getting ready for school or watching the youngest daughter while we get on with preparing food or the housework. Obviously they have their moments when they play up but that is only natural. My advice to parents in my position - don't worry all you need is team work.

I think the biggest headache of having such a large family would be trying to find bedrooms to sleep them in.
