They get ever so anxious and panicky; I dare not leave her with them. Also, they make terrible homophobic and racist comments in front of her, which isn't how I want her to grow up. My brother-in-law even wound down the car window to shout homophobic abuse at a very nice neighbour of ours - in front of my daughter. How on earth do I handle it? I imagine myself in 30 years time terrorising some poor woman and making a better fish pie - oh and buying cheap toys - I can't wait!!! My problem is that she always buys cheap plastic shiny toys when I would rather she bought wooden toys. I think she feels she can buy more if they are cheap. How can I tell her I would prefer one expensive wooden toy to three cheap plastic ones without hurting her feelings?
