 Subject: Pregnancy: Epidural

I had an epidural for my first two labours. I believe that neither of them worked totally successfully as only my right side was numbed. However for my third labour I managed with gas and air only. This was partly due to timing but also by choice because of my first two experiences. After my third labour which incidentally was the best experience, I did however realise that the epidurals had numbed more of my body than I gave them credit for!! Has anyone had a similar experience?
